Halo Headsploding!

There's not much that keeps me going these days; I've got one test left but I'm exhausted. All that drives me is the soon promise of popping some heads on Halo 2. It's been so long! I haven't been playing, but when I check my account on the internet, it says that my player has been killing quite a few people over the last couple months. Find out for yourself here. So however that works, I don't know. I guess I'm so good that I win games without even playing! Sweet. By the way, this picture is what I look like on a bad day.

So yesterday was my birthday and I took two tests in Paleobiology! Rock on!!! They were kinda boring, though. I basically sat in a chair at a desk and wrote until my hand hurt really bad. Then I had to get my driver's license renewed cause it was the last possible day to do it. Then I drove for eight hours. Half the time I was in Seattle. Curses! But then I got home and saw my family and girlfriend. And now I am complete.

Project of Boredom!

For a class I have a project that I'm working on... and I watch snails and other slow animals move! So boring! Basically we give a snail a choice between moving left towards the Snail Eating Starfish of Doom or moving right, to Safety. It usually takes them ten minutes to decide, then they move to the starfish. Not too bright.

I Threw Up an Orange!

So I ate lunch yesterday and topped it all off with an orange. Then I was just hangin' out in my room when my throat started to feel funny. The picture says it all.

Bat Caves!

So yesterday we hiked three miles uphill to some "bat caves." It was pretty awesome, but the hike was exhaustingly steep. The caves didn't really have any bats, but we got to squeeze through some extremely tight places on our hands and knees. And I didn't have a flashlight, so I couldn't see a thing! Freaky! We got out alive and ran the whole three miles back down. I couldn't believe how steep it was, and let's just say that I wasn't wearing the right shoes. The x-ray below shows how I feel:

Mosquito Wars!

Gwa! Last night I woke up every 30 minutes (on average) because mosquitos kept sucking my blood! I don't know how they got in our cabin, but I'm tired and grumping today thanks to them. Therefore, I'm declaring war on mosquitos. My plan of attack is to kill every single one that I see. And I'm drafting you to join the war! How can you help fight? Well, start by smashing into oblivion everything that looks remotely like this:

Huge Campus Nightmare!

So yesterday for a field trip we visited the University of Washington Library. I picked some articles to find, but they were in another building ACROSS CAMPUS! It took ten minutes to even get close to there, and I got lost. Those building are hugely bigger than they look on the map. Click the picture to see my horrible mistake. I never got the articles.

I felt myself moving, and I opened my eyes. The nurse said she was wheeling me to the recovery room. I didn't have to walk! I was very happy. In fact, I realized that I felt very, very happy about everything! After I got to eat applesauce and jello, I asked the nurse if I'd always feel this great. She said that I wouldn't; it would start hurting bad in a few hours. But that was okay. I felt incredible! When my parents led me out to the car, I waved the nurse goodbye, and told her that I'd miss her a lot. I went home feeling on top of the world.

When it comes to lighting fireworks, my brothers and I are phenomenally creative. Just look at the picture above. We did that! That is the effect of setting off at least 10 fireworks simultaneously! You should be impressed.

Flashback: Fun Tonsil Story 1!

Wanna hear a fun story? I thought so...

A couple years ago I had my tonsils out and it was actually really fun. They didn't let me drink water in the morning, but then they hooked me up to an I.V. I stopped being thirsty! So cool! So they wheeled me into the operating room and I kept saying to the nurses, "I'm going to try to stay awake as long as I can." They laughed at me. So they plugged me up with the stuff that makes me sleep... and my eyes started to close... but all of a sudden I was like "NO!" I kept mumbling about staying conscious, and the doctor walked in and stared at me. Everything went black...

Today for my Behavior of Marine Organisms class, the worse speakers of our two professors gave a lecture. I got a little bored because he wasn't making much sense. So I decided to do a quantitative experiment! Sweet! I'd see how many times he'd say "um" in four minutes. He said it 35 times. That's right around one "um" every seven seconds. Suck. Here's an interesting tidbit for you: instead of saying "um" the French actually says "euh." So, euh, I gotta go now.

Lethargy Epidemic!!!

There's a pretty serious epidemic going around up here at the WWC Marine Station. Everybody is sleepy. As sleepy as this:Cute. But these people aren't that cute when they're sleepy. They're more like this:Not so cute. Click for a distasteful close-up. So anyway, I don't know why we're all so lethargic. My first guess would be that one of the science professors here (probably Dr. Nestler) is running a research experiment on us by putting sleepy-potion in our drinks to observe, record, and analyze our reactions. I have three roommates, and there's usually someone in there taking a nap, myself included. Weird stuff.

So the other day I picked up the new Foo Fighters album, and it's totally sweet! Norah Jones is on there! What's going on?! But anyway, I noticed a disturbing pattern on the album. There are a couple songs that undeniably seem to be about suicide and general unhappiness. Now, I most certainly hope that Dave isn't following the same path as his old friend Kurt Cobain. That would suck. So if you're reading this, Dave, then DON'T DIE! You're pretty much a rock god, and we don't need to lose another rock god. Kurt was too much. Don't do it! I need you, Dave. Maybe this picture of you will cheer you up...

For a few days now I've been at a little place up at the Puget Sound (it's north of Seattle) named Rosario. It's for my biology major, and I'm actually having a jolly old time. Want more info? Here's your link. The other day I was picking up a "slime star" from his tank, and he emitted about a pint of clear goo all over my hand. Kinda cool, kinda gross. Anyway, I'm studying plenty here, and I'll be here for about seven more weeks. Here's a picture of kinda what the slimestar looks like. His name is Slippy.

My new house!

I gave ya'll a link to oogle over. There are three live-feed cameras that are at the new house that my family is building! Watch people work on the house, eat lunch, or slack off even though they're getting paid! Sweet. There's also a camera for our lake place over at Hayden Lake, Idaho. Is someone sleeping on the hammock? Is my brother wakeboarding? Is it rainy? Well you'll freakin' have to find out!
